Christmas came early to Speldhurst School, all thanks to the very hard work of the PTA and in particular the Elf Committee! The day started with a whole school assembly where we all joined together singing carols from around the world. The classes then separated and spent the morning engrossed in different christmas activities including decorating bags, making candles and christingle oranges as well as many other things. During the day the children had bought tickets to visit the `secrets room' to choose a special gift for mum and dad - the room looked magical.
In the afternoon a special `early' visit was made by Father Christmas with some very special guests - two beautiful huskies. A tea party was enjoyed by all the children and they were also lucky enough to receive an early christmas present from Santa before he left to continue with his preparations.
A fantastic day - THANK YOU PTA!!
