Recorder Festival - 5th March 2014
Ten children from Years 3, 4 and 5 at Speldhurst School joined 400 other children from schools across Tunbridge Wells to play and sing at the Recorder Festival held at Tunbridge Wells Girls' Grammar School on Wednesday afternoon.
Miss Watson, who runs the Recorder Club every Friday, was thrilled with their performance of the 5 pieces that they had learnt by heart. For some of the children they had only by playing the recorder for a few weeks but rose to the challenge and excelled themselves.
The highlight of the afternoon was meeting the girls of the TWGGS orchestra and having the opportunity to accompany the stringed and the wind instruments.
