KS2 Carols by Candlelight - 19th December 2013
KS2 took part in a beautiful `Carols by Candlelight' Service at St Mary's Church, Speldhurst on Thursday evening. Russet Class led the readings, Crispin sang `O`Little Town of Bethlehem', followed by Bramley singing `While Shepherds watched their flocks by night'. Bramley also provided the tableau for the Christmas story. Russet Class then took the lead in performing `Love shone down' which brought a tear to many an eye.
The children should all be very proud of their performances, they brought a truly magical atmosphere to St Mary's in readiness for Christmas. Special thanks must go to Mrs Gornall who has supported the children with their singing for many weeks, as well as Mrs Trigg who provided a masterful accompaniment on the piano keyboard.
